Washington-on-the-Brazos

Mother, Dad, Evan, and I went to Washington-on-the-Brazos this weekend, where they were celebrating Texas Independence Day (which is March 2).  It was a beautiful day, and we walked all over the park.  I got some great pictues of Evan while we were there.  I think he really enjoyed the fresh air.

Evan's First Super Bowl

To end our whirlwind weekend, we enjoyed a Super Bowl party at the Wilders' house, another of our neighbors.  There were lots of other kiddos there, and they were all curious about Evan. The ladies also wanted to hold him, so he made the rounds!  There was too much going on for him to take a nap, and after a while, Evan got a little overstimulated, so we hurried home. After a bath and a bottle, Evan had a good nights' sleep!

Evan Meets Aubrey

Candace, Eric, and Aubrey were in town this weekend, and we got to visit with them Saturday morning.  This was the first time they've met Evan, and before we left, he and Aubrey were pretty good friends!

One More New Friend

After a quick nap, we were off our next engagement.  We were invited to our neighbor's birthday party.  Evan found another new friend there.  Caroline, our neighbors' granddaughter is about 6 weeks older than Evan, and she's already sitting up pretty well!  Evan and Caroline had a good time checking each other out.  And Kathy had a lovely birthday.  It was very nice to meet her family, and I was honored she chose to include us in her celebration.

Meet Cooper Lee Chilton

We made the trek to San Antonio to see my newest baby cousin, Cooper Lee Chilton.  He was born on Tuesday, February 2 - Groundhog Day!  He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces, and was 21 inches long.  Both Mom Candace and Baby Cooper are doing great!

Before we went down to Floresville to Dana and Candace's place, we met up with Grandma and Grandpa Waits at Bill Miller's so they could have a quick visit with Evan.

After having a bottle, and doing some visiting, Evan was tuckered out.

Here's a picture of Mommy and new Baby Cooper.

Cooper's big sister, Aedra, couldn't let him have all the attention - what a ham!!
